A Lonnnng Short Week

Does anyone else feel like this "short" week is taking forever? 
I woke up yesterday POSITIVE that it was Thursday, confused why Jason left so early for his class. Excited that I had girl's night.  Then 11am hit... and I realized it's in fact Wednesday. I'm just ready to get to the weekend and do nothing.

Luckily for me - I have something to get me through the fact that I still have another workday until the weekend. Later this evening, I have a girl's night planned with three very AWESOME ladies.
Look how beautiful they are! 

Our plans for this evening are exciting! Here's what we'll be doing:

This time Last Year

Last year...I was with my family and Jason in New Smyrna Beach.   We were by the pool all day. My normally quiet Uncle shared a sweet story about the time he proposed to my Aunt. We ran back to our hotel room to shower for my "cousin's birthday dinner"

While we're getting ready, Jason says "Wow. Babe. Come out here and look at this!" I walk out to our balcony and he's down on one knee with rose petals and candles everywhere.

He said the most beautiful things to me, which I was too busy crying to hear him. 

Last year...I said YES!

(my hand would not stop shaking)

As soon as I pulled myself together, I  called/texted all of my friends and family members. As soon as I sent the text to my Best Friend who was in Jacksonville, I heard the door of the hotel open and she walked in

Tears started flowing again. I put my makeup back on and headed out to my Cousin's birthday dinner. Only when we got there, it was my friends and family. Jason had surprised me with a celebration dinner.

After dinner, we met a few more friends out to Celebrate.

This year, we headed back to my home away from home. We decided to swing in to the Garlic to re-celebrate how far we've come. 

and, in true fashion we headed down to our favorite bar for a little celebratory shot.

Needless to say, this past year has been amazing. I'm so grateful for how everything has come along and I'm BEYOND ready to marry my Best Friend!

Friday Letters

Happy Friday and Happy Holiday weekend, ladies! I'm excited for some sun, skinny girl margs, and an extra day off work. I'm linking up for my first Friday Letters with Ashley
Dear Wedding, slow your roll. You are coming at me like a speeding train and I'm not really ready for you, yet! I've got a LOT of things that need to happen in these next 35 days. If you could just "pump the brakes" a bit I'd love you forever.

Dear Summer, I love love love your beautiful weather. However, I have a bone to pick with you - I'm not sure if you're aware or not but your days are supposed to be longer. Thus giving me more time in the evenings to get shiz done. That's not happening and I'm chalking it up to you.

Dear Laundry, do yourself and stop nagging me, please. It's getting a tad annoying. Weren't we supposed to have everything automated by now ;)

Dear Friends, you ladies are the bees knees. I know I've been outpouring my love for you lately, but by golly you deserve it. This past weekend, you showered me with your love and I'm forever grateful for you.

Dear OPI Gelish, dang...you are awesome! You've lasted 8 days so far, and for a nail biter that's pretty amazing. Kudos to you!

Dear Bailey, your face is adorable...It makes my heart sing! I love you so much. I've often though about cloning you like those people on TLC. There's just one itty bitty thing stopping me...how much you bark. How does one fat little dog bark SO much? and so LOUD? 

Dear Jason, I love you endlessly. I'm so excited for our future. When you asked my cousins a million questions about their kids last night, you melted my heart. You're my rock, my best friend and my soulmate. Can't wait to go back to the place we go engaged this weekend & celebrate our love.

Fifty Shades of Obsessed

How tired are you of hearing me blog about my obsession with Fifty Shades? I know you wouldn't believe me, but it's kind of died off with the third book of the trilogy. I plan to finish up the last of the 3rd book this weekend at the beach!

Anyways, back to the point of this post. I'm seriously all kinds of obsessed. It something that is always on my mind.
For starters,  I like to mentally cast the movie....everyday. Do you guys do this? Or, am I just cray-cray?don't answer that.

Over the weekend, our amazing waiter at Ocean Prime happened to be wearing a grey and silver tie. So, what did we do? We talked about his tie sooo much, that the guy not only gave us a spare tie...but also the one that he was wearing. 
Later that night, Steph clearly made a point to pose for fifty - you know making sure to bite her lip too.

 That's normal, right?
And finally, the other reason I'm obsessed is that I can't stop watching this video. It cracks me up for some reason.

Bachelorette Bash - Part Tu(tu)

Hey ladies! Thank you so much for your sweet comments yesterday, I'll be emailing you back shortly. To sum it all up - yes, I'm so grateful to have such amazing friends in my life. God has really blessed me with wonderful, caring, thoughtful and FUN people.

Saturday started off rough -  Steph and I woke up at 6:50am for some unknown reason and decided to go sit out by the pool for a few hours to let the girls sleep in. We went back to the room around 8:30 and just as I decided to close my eyes to prevent my impending hangover the fire alarm went off. The whole hotel had to evacuate the building
This is us, as hungover as ever.

A few girls went to breakfast, while I tried to nurse my hangover so it wouldn't ruin the whole day. Two hours later, Steph made me a mimosa and I woke up and headed to the pool.
We soaked in some more sun, and took our first bridal party picture! I love these girls SO much.

After a few hours at the pool, we ran upstairs to get ready for the night. Everyone was in normal "getting-ready" clothes until I left the room for about 3 minutes and I returned to them in Tutus, and adorable shirts.

They also made me a "To do before I do" checklist for the night.

And, here's the proof.

 It was so much fun! We had a delicious breakfast buffet the next morning and then heading home for a little bit of recovery.

I couldn't of ask for a more amazing weekend, everything was perfect and my friends really made me feel so so special.
Now, I just need more of my friends to start getting engaged so I can't start planning these things! They really set the bar high with mine!

Bachelorette Bash - Part 1

Hey girlies. Sorry this is a tad late, as it turns out I don't recover as quickly as I did when I was 21. I was exhausted beyond belief yesterday and I still haven't even unpacked or done laundry from this weekend. 
Let's recap, shall we? Just a bit of a warning - this is going to be a very picture heavy post.  Pictures are worth 1,000 words, right? Right! On Friday, a few girls meet at my house to drive down to Clearwater. I greeted them with Mimosas for the morning. 

We overstuffed the cars, swung by ChikFila (necessary) and headed out for one of the best weekends in my life. The resort we stayed at was AMAZING. It felt like a caribbean resort, the pool was beautiful, the water was clear and, my favorite part, they greeted us with champagne upon check-in. 

The girls decorated the room and Steph made adorable water bottle labels and glasses for everyone. I knew this weekend was off to a great start.

and then we headed down to the beach for some sun!

After we sunned ourselves for a few hours, we headed up stairs to get ready for the night! I've been pretty much left in the dark as to what we were doing this whole weekend, so it was FULL of surprises for me! Including an tear-jerking slideshow going through my childhood, highschool years, college years and life with Jason. It was the sweetest thing! After I dried my tears, we headed downstairs to "catch a cab"

Except, it wasn't a cab. They rented a limo for the night and we were heading across town for an amazing dinner at Ocean Prime.

Which true to style got a little crazy...the waiters were feeding us shots, a congo line happened, and we came home with two ties.  The night ended with a few more drinks at Blue Martini and a Limo ride dance party on the way back to the hotel.

My mom looks scared to death. Couldn't be more perfect!

The Sun & The Sand

It's time. My Bachelorette Bash is this weekend. I feel like my amazing girlfrands (and Momma) have been planning this forever. and it's finally finally here.  We're heading down to Clearwater beach tomorrow morning (car-baring it the whole way, as the Kentucky Priss would say) - and staying on the beautiful beach. Friends, Beach, Booze, Sun, and more Booze - what more could a girl want?
Excited doesn't even being to describe how I feel right now! I simply can't WAIT.  Have a good weekend y'all!

Cupcake Wars - I need your help!

We do a lot for charity organizations around the workplace. This weekend we have a work-team walking in Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society. While I won't be able to join them this weekend (got this leetle thing called a Bachelorette Partay), I will be participating in one of the fundraisers for our team. This is our 3 fundraising event for our team, first was the 80's happy hour (1/2 of the proceeds from the bar went to our team), and then the following day we had a hangover breakfast where we donated money to eat a delicious breakfast at work
Tomorrow we have Cupcake Wars. Basically you sign up to make cupcakes and then employees pay for tickets to place on their favorite cupcakes. I was SO into the whole "picking out my favorite cupcake part"...until my boss told me that she signed me up and picked my cupcake.
"Dis Be Dat Choklat" is the name she picked which means I clearly need a Chocolate cupcake that stands up to that name. I'm not sure if I mentioned, but I work with some amazingly creative people. Here are all the cupcakes in the contest:

As you can see, I need some AMAZING Chocolate Cupcakes. I've searched Pinterest and narrowed it down to these three. Please please please help me pick!

Just a couple of Bachelorettes

 So, there's this show. You may of already heard about it, called the Bachelorette, that stars this beautiful girl Emily! Judging by my Google Feed, a lot of your ladies watch it. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit this, but the only season I watched of this show is Trista's season (and her wedding, duh) 
I'm excited to watch this season for a few reasons:

1. Emily has amazing style, and she is clearly a genuinely good person. I can't wait to watch for her outfits and her interactions with her daughter!
2. Gossiping with mah friends. They have been talking about this show FOR-EV-ER. Now, I can join in. I have a feeling I'll be texting Steph throughout the whole show. Ever since her "viewing party" was cancelled. boo.
3. This is a no-brainer. But, this show is definitely a "watch-with-a-bottle-of-wine" show as opposed to Our usual shows on Monday night (House and Bones) which are sometimes to graphic to be drinking during.
4. One of my old classmates from Middle & High School is a contestant. Jason and I are exciting to see how he does and watch his claim to fame. Which would make this the 4th person from our graduating class to become an "actor" - I don't even know how that happened. And also, the 4th person from Highschool to be legally allowed into our "Drink while you Think" game. Which I am pretty awesome at by the way...
I digress.
Back to the show, I'm super excited to watch and see how this season unfolds. I've read up about Emily's life prior to the bachelor and the tragic loss of her fiance, Ricky Hendricks. She really couldn't be a better pick for this season.
Speaking of Bachelorettes...

My Bachelorette party is this weekend and I'm so excited! A bunch of my lovely friends and I are heading over to Clearwater beach. The Sun, Sun, Fruity Drinks, and Girl time....it really will be an amazing weekend! This will be the first time that all of my Bridesmaids will be together. Clearwater, I'm giving you AMPLE time to get yo'self prepared for us!

Mama's Day

Mother's day is right around the corner. So far our plans are to hang out with Jason's side of the family since my mom, sister and nephews are heading to the beach. Wish I could make the trek over there, but I've just got too much stuff on my plate right now. 
While I've already made and wrapped her gift (I'll share on Monday, after she's opened it -HI MOM!). I've found some cute items on etsy that would be right up her alley. 

Maybe some cute decor for her beach casa! I love love love this pillow. Our family has an affinity for Crabs, because we have a family seafood business. I think it would adorable on her couches. And, that wreath...so cute, so beachy, so welcoming. love it!Wreath/Pillow

She loves her Tennis, and plays it several times a week. The bag is by Kate Spade and just ADORABLE. The sign is an etsy find, and too cute for wordsbag/sign

Or maybe this adorable little mom scrapbook. It has all of these questions that you and your mom can answer together.  It's a great little keepsake. I love this ring, I'm not quite sure if my mom would. But I would definitely rock it (if you plan on getting me anything, Bailey)scrapbook/ ring (unknown source)
